Direct Access - 9 day (No experience, Steady pace) £2,260
Motorcycle training at Mallory Park
This course is designed for people who want to take their time and learn at a steady pace with little or no pressure. The first week is aimed at bike control, much in the same way as the 5 day course, but without the impending pressure of a test at the end of the week.
Motorcycle training at Mallory Park
You can relax, gaining confidence and understanding of how to ride safely and take a more long term view of passing your motorcycle test, rather than having the feeling of being rushed to get it all done in one week.
In depth motorcycle instruction
The use of counter steering for faster corners is fully explained and demonstrated on track for you to fully appreciate the need to understand how to safely ride your new bike. Our motorcycle training will prepare you for the bike test and more importantly, for the years ahead, when you have to make split second decisions to ensure your safety and enjoyment of motorcyling.
Emergency Braking mid corner at speed
Accident prevention is the key, so we will ensure you know how to stop a bike mid corner, while you are leant over between 40 - 70mph. This will totally change your depth perception when it comes to cornering and keep you 100% safe. This is a skill we first introduced in 1997, we have had many clients call us over the years thanking us for including this on their course. It really does make a huge difference when you are on your own bike in years to come.
Motorcycle training on track
It's essential that we teach you how to accelerate properly for the road. We can do this on the race track so you understand how to activate the gears on your motorbike. You should be confidently accelerating away from junctions and getting up to 50-70 mph by midday. This is exhilerating but also quite daunting. You will need time to get used to this and it may take some clients longer than others. That's OK. Everyone gets there in the end, we concentrate on technique rather than speed at all times. Our facilities will help you to improve and build confidence through carefully structured training schedules, demonstration and pillion rides.
Braking Practice at 70mph on track
More importantly, you need to know how it feels to stop the motorcycle from 70mph. Motorcycle training at Mallory Park helps you undertsand how this feels, building your confidence gradually. Friends and family, often worry about the size of a motorbike and how fast it goes, they see bikes as being dangerous. In reality, it's not being able to stop a bike properly that leads to accidents. Poor braking technique makes any vehicle "dangerous". Practice this essential skill for as long as you need, to ensure your safety before you go onto the roads. It really is an area that needs working on, the race track will give you this unique opportunity.
Module 1 test practice on track
You'll learn the correct procedures for the DVSA module 1 test and the module 2 test. These are essential skills for the road designed to keep you safe at all times. We can duplicate the Mod 1 motorbike test on the race track to help you with Manual Handling, Slalom, Figure of 8, Slow speed ride, U turn, Controlled stop, Emergency stop and Swerve / recover. With our facilities you'll be familiar with every aspect of the test before you venture onto public roads. The added benefit is that you'll have far greater control and confidence to handle any road situation with our exhaustive initial training programme.
Instructors helping you on track
We can cover all these areas to give you a broad, enjoyable experience. The whole course is structured to ensure you are confident of getting out onto the public road at the right stage. We also want to ensure that you are on the right bike, so you'll be able to choose from a Suzuki bandit 650, Triumph Street Triple R, Yamaha MT09, Yamaha R1, Aprillia RSVR1000, Bandit 1200 or Suzuki GSX 1250. As long as it has an "L" plate and keys in it, you can ride it.
Motorcycle training on road
Only when you feel happy on the track between 0-70mph would we consider going out onto public roads. Then, because you know you are in FULL control of the bike, we can cover far more miles successfully and your confidence will increase. You'll then be able to fully use your road sense that you have built up over years of driving to make great progress towards getting your full motorbike licence
Enjoy the road
The full motorcycle test for module 1 and module 2 usually takes the following week, so there is no pressure implied or given. With this, more considered approach, you can spend more time on all the areas that really matter to you and have time to reflect on your progress. It's also good to take a couple of days off, because it can be quite exhausting. Some clients prefer to be totally flexible and arrange their 9 days over a 3 or 4 week period, it doesn't have to be done in 9 straight working days. You tell us what you want from your motocycle training course and we'll dedicate an instructor to you, over whatever time structure suits. This is tailored , bespoke training, lets help you get the best out of it.

- Higher speeds also enable our clients to experience road and weather conditions and the feeling of vulnerability BEFORE they go out on the open road.
- Hill starts, U Turns (both uphill and downhill) braking on bends and realistic left and right turns.
- Module 1 "hazard avoidance" practice every day.
- Proper use of gears to obtain realistic rates of acceleration.
The extra experience and machine control that this allows ensures that our clients are fully prepared before going anywhere near a public road. This makes the whole learning experience more enjoyable for both client and instructor. It also means that maximum progress is possible as all the basics have been covered in far greater depth.
We will ensure you become a safe, confident and competent rider.
