Sean Hayes
I have been riding motorbikes for 18yrs and instructing for 12yrs. Currently I ride a Yamaha R1 on the road, and racing a Suzuki GSXR1000.
As chief instructor for Circuit Based Training my role is to ensure that we implement the highest standards of training throughout our range of courses and deliver a program of events that keep every client safe and improve their confidence no matter what stage they are at.
With the introduction of Direct Access training for big bikes in 1997 it was obvious to me that the traditional school playground / public car park method of teaching was not satisfactory, bumbling round cones at walking pace on a 125cc machine does not prepare you for riding a big bike. Put quite simply "The bigger the bike.....the bigger the training area required". Having seen first hand the struggle clients had in small training areas the size of a tennis court it was logical to give clients the opportunity to prepare for the open road in the safety of a race circuit.
Mallory Park lends itself perfectly to big bike training. We have built a strong reputation for setting the highest standards in Direct Access training resulting in excellent pass rates and ongoing client satisfaction, where clients realise that “Advanced” techniques should be taught to all and not just for the few.
Dave Russell
Hi my name is David Russell and I am a motorcycle instructor with Circuit Based Training. It isn't often that you get to teach a quality training programme in an environment that is perfectly suited to the requirements. At Mallory Park we can take all the worry associated with starting out on a bike as there is no traffic to deal with until the client is ready. Having worked at other training schools in the past, I've seen first hand how clients can be forced out onto public roads before they are ready. With Circuit Based Training each client is treated as an individual and learns at a rate that is acceptable to them. This makes for far safer road riding allowing us to cover more miles with every client. After graduating with an honours degree in organic chemistry I spent 26 years working in the chemical industry. Resigning from my last position I then retrained to teach CBT, DAS and advanced motorcycling techniques. I have been riding bikes for 25 years and currently ride a 1100cc Blackbird. When I am not working I enjoy keeping fit, observing for the Institute of Advanced Motorists and playing golf.
Tim O’Donnell
I have been riding motorcycles for 29 years havingstarted at the age of 5. In 1990 I started racing sports bikes and in 1995 to 1996 I raced for UK Kawasaki with the British Superbikes.
In 1996 I finished racing and joined the cops and for the past 8years I have worked on the traffic unit, being a advanced grade 1 motorcyclist. I have been instructing on race tracks since 1996 with a number of different firms and with Circuit Based Training since 2002.
The training package developed by Sean Hayes over the past ten years has been widely accepted as one of the best in the business.
Tim Rogers
Instructing on track for several years with Circuit Based Training has allowed me to help many riders achieve far more than they first thoght possible. It's great to see how clients relax on the track. I have over 15 years riding experience.
I am a grade 1 Police motorcyclist and trained for VIP close protection (royal). Self confessed track day addict also spending time on the road doing Police Bike safe days and Advanced Institute of motorcyclist assessments.
I want all of our clients to understand their bikes and fully appreciate the performance whilst maintaining 100% safety.
Guy Kendrick
I've been with the Police 19 years, and work with Tim Rogers. Ride police motorcycles, road and off-road, and am also a BikeSafe assessor.
I have been riding 11 years, and since 2001 have become a bit of a trackday addict. Time permitting, I also do Sean's Advance Road courses. The kick I get out of doing this for CBT is watching riders actually improve in a day, whatever level they've started at. Remember, it's about relaxing.
It's what you ride a motorcycle for. And you also get the added bonus of 5 grown up blokes taking the mick out of each other. Constantly. Value For Money in anyone's book
A safe, steady pair of hands to help guide even the most nervous of clients through their test!
Wesley Osborne
I have been riding motorcycles for several years and i currently own a Yamaha YZF R6r. I am extremely passionate about motorcycles and have attended various motorcycle training schools throughout the uk and on the continent. I have gained road riding and track experience and have furthered my knowledge and understanding of bike control.
I am a keen follower of the sport and spend many weekends away watching the BSB, Wsb and the Moto GP. Circuit based training, which is based at Mallory Park is where it all began for me. I did my first track day many years ago and since then i have become a self confessed track addict.
If I compare all the courses I have completed at other training schools against the courses run by Sean at Circuit Based Training, I know that they are by far the best, not only in their content but in their delivery. All the courses are run in a calm & relaxed enviroment and the instructors ensure 100% safety both on the track & road at all times.
